DEVOTION TO LEARNING

This picture was taken at the Conservatory Garden in Harlem, NY, where I spent much of my free time as I lived and studied in this beautiful part of New York City.

Education is so important to me. I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. Since the first grade, and probably before in pre-school, I was enamored by my teachers. I thought the very act of being guided to learn something new was just the most incredible superpower anyone could possess. To help sculpt and form a new mind to learn a new skill, language, or craft was just utterly fascinating to me and that fascination has never seem to cease since my early days as young learner.

I have scribed below some of my educational experiences that have shaped me and helped me grow into the educator, mentor, therapist, and student I am today.
